Administrative Update from the Board Meeting ~ September 15, 2021

The school board met in a special called meeting on September 15, 2021. The school board accepted a board member's resignation, hired a human resources coordinator, and hired an administrative assistant to the superintendent. Please click on the link above for more details.

Administrative Update from Board Meeting

The school board met in a regularly scheduled board meeting and approved the following board policy update: Masks are required to be worn by all students and all adults on buses at all times to and from school and to and from all extra-curricular events starting on Monday, September 20, 2021. Special Called Board Meeting

UPDATE - LOCATION CHANGE: There will be a special called board meeting on September 1st at 5:30 p.m. to review the Ready for Learning Plan and to discuss the current impact of Covid-19. The meeting will take place in the high school cafeteria (1079 North State Hwy 28).

2021-2022 Ready for Learning Plan

If you didn't know, the Ready for Learning Plans are posted on the district's website under State Required Information> Ready for Learning Plan.

Monthly School Board Meeting

The Dardanelle School Board will meet for their regularly scheduled monthly meetings on the second Monday of each month. The next meeting will be held on Monday, September 13, 2021 at 6:00 pm at 102 South Front Street Dardanelle, AR 72834. For additional information, call 479-229-4111.

Our district point of contact who will be working directly with the Arkansas Department of Health regarding suspected or known positive cases of Covid-19 within our school district is April Hunt.

If you are a parent of a student within the district and your child or
someone in the household tests positive for Covid-19, please
contact April Hunt at 479-477-0292. She will be actively working
with any suspected or known cases of Covid-19 within our

PUBLIC RELEASE: MEALS AT NO COST EXTENDED FOR THE 2021-2022 SCHOOL YEAR

The Dardanelle School District is pleased to announce that breakfasts and lunches will be served to all students at NO CHARGE during the 2021 - 2022 school year. It is not necessary to complete a meal application for free or reduced priced meals as The United States Department of Agriculture has extended meal benefits to all students at this time. For households who wish to complete a meal application, they are available at www.dardanellepublicschools.org or at any of the schools.

These meal benefits do not include a la carte items sold in the cafeteria. If students wish to purchase items a la carte, they will need to have money for those purchases.

All adults, e.g., visitors, teachers, support staff members, and administrators of the district must assume the full cost of the meal which is $2.00 for Breakfast and $4.00 for Lunch.

Dardanelle School District obtains substitute teachers through SubTeach/ESS. To become a substitute teacher for our school district, please call 1-800-641-0140.

Want To Be A Substitute Cook, Custodian, or Bus Driver?
Applications for substitute cooks, custodians, and bus drivers are available at our administration office at 102 South Front Street. Kim Witt will provide you with a substitute packet. For more information, please call 479-229-4111.

FREE COVID-19 VACCINE CLINICS

There will be a Pfizer vaccine clinic held in B.O.B. on the Dardanelle High School campus on Friday, August 6th (9 a.m. - 12 p.m.) for anyone ages 12 and older. No appointment is necessary.


In addition, Food on the Mount is partnering with the Arkansas Department of Health to provide free COVID-19 Pfizer vaccines for those 12 and older on Saturday, August 7, 2021 from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the Mount George Church of Christ on Hwy 28 & 154 Danville, AR. No appointment is necessary. Bring your ID insurance card, if available.
