What is Jamboard?
Jamboard is Google’s digital whiteboard that offers a rich collaborative experience for classrooms. Jamboard is an online interactive whiteboard tool designed for cross-platform collaboration developed by Google as part of the G Suite family. You can create a Jam, edit it from your device, and share it with others. Everybody can collaborate on the Jam anytime, anywhere.
Do I have to have a touch screen or Smartboard to use Jamboard?
No, Jamboard will work on most all devices, including chromebooks. Although you do gain a little more functionality on touch devices like tablets, smartboards, and smartphones.
Isn’t the Jamboard a device Google sells?
This information refers to the Google Jamboard software, which is available to every teacher and student in this district. The software can work on most all devices you already have. There is a physical Jamboard that Google sells separately, but it is not required to use the software.
How do I use Jamboard in my classroom?
Below are several different training videos you can watch to learn how to use the features in Jamboard. Google Jamboard is enabled on all Dardanelle Google Accounts. To access it simply click on the square of dots after logged into Google and select the Jamboard Service from the list of Google Services.
