Full Chromebook Reset

A lot of Software issues with a Chromebook can be fixed by doing a full reset of the system. This will return the system to the state it was in when it was first purchased.
You will lose any data on the device, that has not be upload to the cloud if you continue on with these instructions.
Here are the instructions on how to Wipe a Chromebook:
  1. Turn off the Chromebook.
  2. Press Esc+Refresh+Power.
A yellow exclamation point (!) or "Please insert a recovery USB stick" is displayed.
  3. Press Ctrl+D to begin Developer mode, then press Enter.
  4. Press Space, then press Enter.
The Chromebook deletes its local data, returning to its initial state.
Note: â€‹If Forced re-enrollment is enabled for the device, you'll see a note that Developer mode is blocked. This shortens the wipe process, and still allows for re-enrollment when the device automatically restarts in Verified mode.
  5. When the transition completes, press the space bar, then press Enter to return to Verified mode.
  6. Enroll the Chromebook before signing in to it. (Dardanelle Chromebooks should auto-enroll)
This YouTube Video gives a good walk through on how to preform the reset. Please note, after he preforms the reset he talks about registering the device back on the network. Our Chromebooks should auto-register themselves back to our Dardanelle Domain. If they do not, you can follow his instructions to do that. You do NOT have to be an admin to register the Chromebook.
