Welcome to a new school year!  By now, I hope you have started to see how we will be doing things in Fifth grade!  Our goal in Fifth grade is to be neat, organized, and responsible!  Hope you have enjoyed your first week!

We will be Benchmark testing tomorrow and Wednesday.  This year we will take the Science portion only.  Please make sure your child is well rested and is at school on time.  Try to make all doctor's appointments in the afternoons on these days. 

We will be taking the Science Benchmark next week on April 14-15. Please make sure your child has a good night's sleep and eats breakfast. 

School is out March 5, 2015 due to inclement weather! 

We will be celebrating Dr Seuss this week by dressing up each day.

 

Monday - My Many Colored Days

      Wear as many different colors as possible

Tuesday - Fox in Socks

      Wear your favorite or crazy socks

Wednesday - Wacky Wednesday

      Wear wacky clothes or dress up as your favorite Dr Seuss character

Thursday - The Cat in the Hat

      Wear hats

Friday - Hooray for Diffendoofer Day

      Wear school colors!

Due to the snow days this week, we will be postponing our Power 5 work until next week.  Also, we will be having a Science test over simple machines next week. 

 

One way to help your child study is by using flash cards.  I have inserted a link to a flash card generator that could be helpful with vocabulary or math facts. 

 

School will be closed February 23 due to inclement weather!
