🧠 Our 6th-grade PLTW Medical Detectives are diving deep into the nervous system!
This week, students explored how the nervous system functions and took a closer look at neurons—the building blocks of the brain. After learning about the different parts of a neuron and how they work together to send messages throughout the body, students put their creativity to the test!
Using a variety of classroom supplies, they built 3D models of neurons and labeled each part to reinforce their understanding. We love seeing hands-on learning in action and watching our future scientists shine! 💡👩🔬👨🔬

The Dardanelle School District is closely monitoring the potential for severe weather in our area. Our schools are prepared.
Please be aware that if severe weather conditions occur and warnings are issued in our area, buses will not depart at dismissal, and staff will not load cars for pick-up until conditions improve.
In the event of an active tornado threat, staff will shelter in our Saferooms with students. Parents/guardians will be allowed to check out their student when it is safe to do so.
Bus delays and any other weather-related updates will be posted immediately on our social media platforms.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation as we prioritize the safety of our students and staff.
Attention all DMS Students: This is a reminder that Spring Pictures will be taken tomorrow!
